Day 4 is now over and God has continued to amaze us in so many ways.
We started our morning walking through scripture and learning how when we constantly put garbage in, eventually all of thag garbage will come out and it comes out in the way we live, how we treat others, how we react to temptation and can defile us. We talked about how what we watch, listen to and read can enter our minds and influence our behavior. It was a deep morning with a lot of emotion as we reflected on our own lives and the type of garbage we put in.
We headed out to play putt-putt. We had 5 teams and each made their own team name. The team with the lowest average score, won a beautiful putt-putt trophy. I will report that the Fruitcakes won! That was the chaperone group and yours truly smoked the entire competition with a score of a 42. We had a great time in fellowship and even did a little souvenir shopping on our way back to the home.
Night service was a little different. We had whole group reflection time and the students shared their favorite lesson from the week, what lesson stepped on their toes and what I thought would be an hour and nothing more, laated until after midnight! I cannot even begin to put into words all that was said tonight, but it was the best way to end night 4.
Pray for us as we finish up witb two more lessons tomorrow. My voice is almost gone and I have a new appreciation for my pastor. Teaching the word of God two times a day for 5 days is tough, but so rewarding. Lives have changed and hearts have been made new.
We have had a retreat that we will never forget. Love you all. Nite.
