Week of September 12th

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great start to your week and are doing well!

This week we will have bible study upstairs beginning at 7:00. Please come ready to dig in and learn about God's word. I would love to see you all there!

Our Carowinds trip is fast approaching and I am so excited to spend a day at the park and then finishing up our night in worship with some awesome bands. Come energized and ready! Prices are as follows:
Ticket to the Park and Concert: $43.
If you have a season pass and need just a concert ticket: $27.87

Youth, your ticket will be purchased by the church! I will need a final count on Sunday so that we can get our payment ready by that Saturday. Please make you checks out Second Baptist Church and give them to me so that I can turn them in.

September 17th- Outreach: Be @ the church by 9:30

September 24th- Carowinds: We will leave at 9:00 a.m. sharp! Bring your own breakfast! I will send out specifice instructions next Monday.

October 29th: Mission Day- Visiting our shut-ins and church family
October 29th (pm)- Pancake Supper and Bingo

Week of september 5th

Happy Labor Day! I hope everyone enjoyed their day. We had an awesome time at dodgeball! It sure was muddy, but that made it even better! We missed those of you who couldn't make it, but we hope you can the next time!

Our Carowinds trip is fast approaching and I am so excited to spend a day at the park and then finishing up our night in worship with some awesome bands. Come energized and ready! Please remember to let me know if you plan to go and if you have a pass. Also, if you are bringing a friend, I need to know so that I can put them on our group rate. They will need to purchase their tickets if they are not an active youth group member. Even if you have told me you are going, please respond on here and put your name on the board at church. I have to know how many are going.

We will have bible study upstairs on Wednesday. I hope you all can join us! I know it is getting busy with school in session, but if you can come join us we would love to see you!!

Next month is our mission month. We will be visiting our church members who cannot come to us, a little yard work and we will have a pancake supper. Please stay tuned for the dates.

WEEK OF AUGUST 29th

I hope you all had a great day of school!! I loved seeing everyone's pictures. :)

This week we will have bible study upstairs and we are going to be putting on our Armor of God! Come ready for a great time learning about the Lord!

I really need to know if you plan to play dodgeball on the 3rd and your tshirt size. Our team is getting bigger. Also, we will leave the church at 10:30 that morning to ride over to Leonards Fork Baptist Church. The event will end at 2:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided. The t-shirts are going to be $10. I have most of your sizes. If you want the shirt still, let me know. If you need help buying a shirt, tell me and we will make sure we get it taken care of. :)

We WILL go to McDonald's after the game on Friday night for a time of fellowship. Meet there after the game. If you need a ride, let me know. I hope to see you at the game supporting both teams and our youth!

September 24th is Carowinds. I need to know if you plan to go, if you have a season pass and if a friend is coming. I need to know this ASAP! I will have pricing later this week for you.

Week of august 22nd

Almost missed Monday messages, but I made it right at the last minute. Ha!

This week we will have bible study upstairs and we will finish our walk through Proverbs about the top 9 things we should do as good, Godly friends. This is a great lesson to help us get ready for the new school year!

I really need to know if you plan to play dodgeball on the 3rd and your tshirt size. Our team is getting bigger. Week of august 15th

It is Monday and time for our updates for the week. I hope all of our youth that headed off to college are doing well and adjusting to the new normal routine. Parents: I am praying for you! I hope you guys are enjoying some rest, as well.

This week we will have bible study upstairs. Come ready to learn and for some healthy competitions. Let's start getting ready for a new school year!

I really need to know if you plan to play dodgeball on the 3rd and your tshirt size. So far I only have one who is interested. If we do not want to participate, I just need to know either way ASAP!

I still need some help for yard work and such. If you are not busy one evening next week, I would love to have a few hands to help me.

Week of August 7th

Hello my kiddos!! I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer still and you guys are getting prepped to tackle another school year soon! I am excited for our week ahead and the time we get to spend with one another.
Tomorrow, we will meet at the church at the bus at 6:30 to go eat at Wings Etc. and Sweet Frogs in Shelby. We are having a "see ya soon" and "preppign for the new school year" meal. Please bring money with you. Let me know in advance if you need help with money. :) Parents, we will text/call when we are leaving Sweet Frogs. College freshmen: This is for you. I hope you can come hang with us!!
On Wednesday, we will have our lesson and we will be saying "see you soon" to a few of our graduates who are leaving for college. Please come prepared to worship and fellowship together and send our college freshmen off to school ready to tackle this new adventure!

Week of august 1st

HELLO!! It is Monday and it is time to update everyone for the week! The Cherryville Revival is this week and we have had some great worship and preaching the past two nights. If you are not busy and want to join us, we meet at the church at 6:15 pm to walk/ride down to the service together. It is usually over close to 9:00 p.m. I would love to see you there.

There is a change in plans for Saturday. If you would like to go to Farm Fuze, please plan to go to the address and we will meet up there. I have a prior commitment that I may have forgotten about until today (OOPSIE) and I will need to meet you at Fuze later. If you want to wait on me and go with me, I will be leaving Cherryville around 6:30-6:45 and can meet you at the church and take you. If you guys still want to meet at the church and carpool, please do so. :) Sorry for this change!

On Wednesday, we will have youth upstairs and then if anyone wants to catch the end of the revival, we will walk down together to the field. This week's lesson will come out of Galations and is about doing good work. I can't wait to see you all!

Updates for the week:

August 2nd-August 4th- Community Revival- Youth Rally begins at 6:30. On Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, we will meet at the church at 6:15 and walk down to the baseball field together.

August 6th: Farm Fuze- CHANGE IN PLANS: If you plan to go to Fuze, please find a way to the event. I will post the address below. I have a commitment that I need to fulfill and will meet you at fuze later in the evening.

August 8th: Saying so long to our college freshmen. Please be at the church at 6:30 pm. We will be going to eat at Wings Etc. in Shelby and to Sweet Frog for dessert. We will take the church bus so that we are all together.

August 20th- Outreach with the church

August 26th: Friday Night Football- Cookout in Lincolnton after the game. I know we will all be at different schools, so we will carpool and meet up!

September 3rd: Mud DodgeBall Tournament- more information to come soon.

Pray for each other and for our hearts to stay on fire and for our community revival! Pray for the ones who rededicated their life to Christ or accept Jesus as their Savior. Pray for our church and our community.

Monday Update Week of july 25th

7/25/2016

WARNING: LONG POST! BUT, READ IT. ;)
This time last week, many of us were sitting together in that small living room, studying God's word. I felt lost today as I sat alone at my desk and stared at numbers all day. Lots and lots of numbers. Many of you and your parents sent texts of encouragement or just to say hello and I will say it made the day go by so much faster and it kept a smile on my face. The first day back to work is always the hardest, but I had the memories of this week tucked away in my heart. I shared some of our week with my boss and as I did, the song, "God is on the Move," came on. I slammed on breaks and had to apologize! God is good and so awesome!!

Tonight a few of the youth surprised me as I was walking Lilly with a milkshake, cupcakes and cookies! Here they come tooting that horn and catching me in my gown! They knew today was a little tough being back in reality. As we sat at the table and I listened to their laughs, I thought about how this is how we should be as a body of Christ. Supporting each other, surrounding each other, and being there for one another, even when we don't ask for it. You guys make me want to be a better person. You have shown me more love in the past week than I ever imagined. THANK YOU! to all of you!

This week we will be getting together and we are going to continue learning about our man, King David and we will be in 1 Samuel. We will be talking about labels. I'm pumped and ready to keep this energy going! I hope to see you there. Bring a friend!!

Upcoming this next month:

We will also attend the Outreach for August and will touch up Miss Maggie's porch and mow Rudy' s yard. I will post dates as soon as we have them.
